During the event, a uniform field of surface pressure (1010-1015 hPa) complemented by weak surface winds was present over most of Europe. At the 850 hPa height, warm air mass was advancing towards north-northeast, from Africa towards the southeast Europe. At the mid-troposphere height, relatively strong southwesterly to westerly winds were blowing over the central Mediterranean and the south Adriatic.
