However, I am also interested in storm surges, tsunamis and other sea level fluctuations that can lead to extremes. I am particularly interested in historical sea level extremes, and I am happiest when I find a lost account of a flood or learn a legend about a flood (these do exist!).<\/p><p>\u00a0<\/p><p>I am also a European Research Council grantee and have led three other projects dealing with extreme sea levels.<\/p><p>\u00a0<\/p><p>I enjoy teaching at all levels: from primary and secondary schools, where I participate in hands-on oceanographic workshops, to giving lectures to my students at the University of Split and giving popular lectures to the general public.<\/p><p>\u00a0<\/p><p>I was born in Split, Croatia.
